Ornate Buildings of Prague

These buildings were built to evoke the image of two people dancing, hence their nick name, The Fred and Ginger building.

The Dancing House was originally nicknamed “Fred and Ginger.”  The glass tower leaning inward like a woman in motion and the stone tower standing tall as her partner.  This is one of Prague’s most iconic modern landmarks, standing gracefully on the banks of the Vltava River.  This unique building houses offices, a gallery and a rooftop restaurant, none of which I visited.  I was happy to see it at blue hour from the street.  It was all part of the unique and ornate buildings of Prague. Reflections Of Boston

Blue and gold reflections of a downtown Boston building.

Riding around on a typical Hop-On-Hop-Off  tourist bus, I did my best to photograph the unique downtown Boston building reflections from the open second level.  I’m no stranger to big cities, having lived in downtown Chicago for many years during my working career.  However, I do not recall seeing so many varied styles of buildings and unique design and reflections as I saw in Boston.

We normally drive or take the train while traveling in Europe.  However, European travel restrictions (Schengen Agreement) dictated we get out of Spain as well as twenty-five other European countries and head for a country not part of this agreement.  We would be illegal aliens if we remained in Spain.  So we boarded our first ever European flight from Barcelona to Bucharest.

Gaudi Town, Barcelona Revisited

We had visited Barcelona, what I call Gaudi Town, for a week about 90 days ago as the termination point to our trans-Atlantic cruise.  Antoni Gaudi has four wonderful architectural master pieces in Barcelona, including Sagrada Familia which still being built 120 years later, Casa Milá and Casa Batlló.  We will now get to see a fourth major work by Gaudi, Park Güell.  We are concluding a 90 day, clockwise visit to the Iberian Peninsula.
